Brits On The Beach

Brits On The Beach (BOTB) is the PEDC's popular fall car show held in mid-September in Ocean Grove, NJ.  Ocean Grove is a beach town with a fascinating history and a vibrant downtown.  The town generously lets us take over the whole two blocks of the business district for the display classic and modern British cars.  The show is free to the public and downtown Ocean Grove is full of shops, restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops while being just two blocks from the boardwalk and beach.  A classic British rock soundtrack is provided by our DJ.

This year we have expanded our show to have room for 150 cars, vintage and classic British motorcycles, and vintage British tractors.  Cars and motorcycles are presented in classes with popular vote judging by other participants.  First, second, and third place trophies are awarded to class winners in the early afternoon.

There are 4 special trophy classes:

• Diamond In The Rough 
  A car featuring some of these attributes: unrestored, drivable, damaged paint/body/interior/drivetrain, a work-in-progress, too rough for the Preservation class
• Preservation
  A car featuring some of these attributes: original owner, original paint/interior/drivetrain, largely stock, presentable, drivable
• Custom/Modified
  A car featuring some of these attributes: significant modifications to body/drivetrain/paint/interior, race prepped, etc.
  
• Best Display
  A car displayed with period appropriate accessories such as: luggage, picnic, camping, clothing, sporting accessories, seasonal decorations, information posters

Participants can enter a random drawing for a door prize of their choice and every participant receives a goodie bag and gift.  

This year we are collecting photos of each participant’s vehicle and will post these photos of the winners in the results article in the club newsletter and on our website.  Once you are registered for the show, please submit a color photo of your vehicle (JPG format) by clicking here. 

Schedule of events:
9:30 – 11:30 AM: Registration (gate opens at 9:30)
11:30 AM: Gate closes
12:00 – 2:00 PM: Judging by participants’ choice
12:30 PM: Opening remarks, Color Guard / Pledge of Allegiance
1:30 PM: Door-prize drawings (silent auction style)
2:30 PM: 2nd door-prize drawing for prizes not awarded
3:00 – 3:30 PM: Show awards ceremony
